  • 4 large apples peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup Madhūka Powder
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter cold and diced
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce
  • Optional: vanilla ice cream for serving


  • Preheat your oven to 190°C. In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with lemon juice and set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the brown sugar, flour, oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, and Madhuka powder.
  • Add the diced butter to the dry ingredients. Use your fingers to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • In a greased baking dish, layer half of the apples, then half of the crumb mixture. Repeat with the remaining apples and crumb mixture.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the apples are tender.
