
Chocolate Crispy Caramel Bars
This decadent, sumptuous chocolatey delight is perfect for those cheat days… Recipe courtesy of @spamellaB.
Ingredients
For the base
- 50 g Oats
- 6 tbsp Rice crispies
- 2 tbsp Cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp Peanut butter
- 1 tbsp Melted coconut oil
- 2 tbsp Madhūka Powder
For the middle
- 2 tbsp Peanut butter
- 1 tbsp Maple syrup
- 1 tbsp Oat milk
For the topping
- 150 g Soft cheese (or dairy-free alternative)
- 2 tbsp Cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp Sweetener
- Dash of Vanilla extract
- Sprinkle of Granola (or other cereal of choice)
Instructions
- Mix together all of the base ingredients until combined. Spoon into a lined tupperware box and press down firmly to form a generous base layer.
- Mix together the nut butter, maple syrup and milk then spoon over the base to allow for a generous layer again.
- Next, beat together the soft cheese, cocoa powder, sweetener and vanilla and then spoon on top of the caramel to cover.
- Scatter over the granola and freeze for at least 4 hours.
- When ready to enjoy, just pop out of the freezer 10 minutes beforehand then pop out onto a chopping board and cut into bars.
